I have carefully read, fully understand, and agree to comply with the rules and regulations outlined above. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I am aware of the potential risks associated with participating in this event, and assume full responsibility for any consequences that may arise from my actions during the event. I understand that failure to abide by these rules and regulations may result in my team's forfeiture from the overall play and participation. Therefore, I commit to ensuring the safety of all participants and conducting myself in a responsible and respectful manner at all times during the event.

Team & individual check ins start at 5:45p
Games start right at 6p

Rules & Regulations

Playing Time/Points/Overtime:

15 minute games or the first to 15 points wins the game
A coin flip will determine who has initial possession
The game is played on regulation basketball half court with one basket - Point scale: shots inside the 3 point line will be worth 1 point and three's will be 2 points - Overtime will occur when two teams have tied, the game will extend 5 minutes for overtime.
If the game is still tied after overtime then we will move into sudden death, which both teams will have an opportunity to score

Team Size:

6 players max on a team and a minimum of 5
Teams may pick up subs throughout the season to prevent forfeits however teams can NOT pick up more than 50% of their team UNLESS approved by the opposing team. Anything different/less is up to the opposing captain and/or staff member or referee as to what will be allowable.
Dead ball substitutions

Fouls/Free Throws:

When fouls occur throughout the course of the game the team the foul is committed on will receive the ball.
If a person is fouled and still makes the shot it will count, and the ball will go to the opposing team.
If a person is fouled and misses the shot they still will receive the ball. - If a team has committed 6 fouls or more in the course of a 15 minute period, then the opposing team will shoot 2 free throws.
Aggressive/Flagrant fouls will result in one warning, the second tie it occurs you will be kicked out of all remaining games for that day.
If these types of fouls continue you will be dismissed from the league entirely.

Forfeits:

If your teams needs to forfeit for any reason please let the Sports Director know ahead of time to give us time to make any accommodations to scheduling
There is a 10 minute grace period, failure to show up after 10 minutes will result in a forfeit.

Waivers:

In order to participate in the league, each participant must sign the facility waiver. Waivers that are not signed result in ejection from the league.

Sportsmanship:

The idea of this league is to have fun. We hope that all participants keep that in mind when becoming involved. Although the games may become intense, you still can be competitive while maintaining good sportsmanship. With this said, any behavior deemed unacceptable by staff may result in suspension and/or ejection from a game, league, and facility.
